Set in the very heart of Zululand, against a backdrop of the lovely Lebombo Mountains, Iqina Game Lodge is ideally situated for easy access to the best the region has to offer.
This private game reserve, on over 20 000 hectares of indigenous bushveld, hosts a wealth of wildlife including leopard, zebra, giraffe, white rhino, buffalo, blue wildebeest, warthog, bushpig and ostrich. Many fascinating smaller mammals such as jackal, porcupine, vervet monkey, tortoise, caracal, serval, and mongoose can also be seen.
Those wishing to explore the region will be delighted to find the popular Hluhluwe, Umfolozi and Mkuze Game Reserves all within easy reach, as is the Pongola Poort Dam, where the tiger fishing is excellent. Sand and surf is equally accessible. Sodwana Bay, famed for its excellent diving, is within easy reach. Also close by is the famous St Lucia World Heritage site. This wetland area is home to several hippos pods which can be viewed on daily boat cruises.

Iqina Lodge hosts attractive catered & self-catering log cabins under thatch.
Each cabin accommodates 5 people and is constructed from locally sourced materials.
With ironstone-tiled flooring, the well-appointed chalets offer comfortable respite from the heat of the day and a home-from-home base at the hub of the region’s tourist attractions.
All accommodation is equipped with everything from linen, towels, and crockery to cutlery.
We have recently added 4 en- suite rooms with fully equipped outdoor kitchen. Self catering or DB+B.

Game drives & guided walks can be arranged with the manager at a nominal fee, which enables guests to explore the wildlife and wonderful diversity of bird and butterfly species.
Our game drives may be enjoyed during the day or night, which will allow you to see a far greater variety of animals during your stay.
Once back at the lodge the sparkling pool invites one to plunge into the waters and relax in the unhurried atmosphere of the Zululand bushveld.

One is organised by Falaza Game Park, which is only a 30 minute drive from Iqina.
The alternative boat trip is organised by Jozini Boat Cruise.
With this area being so rich in bird life, a bird hide has been built where one may sit secluded in the dense bushveld, perfectly positioned to spot all the birds found in this region
